Made at home but not so home-made cheesecake.

Strawberry & Vanilla Cheesecake
Ok so not exactly (home-made) this time, I cheated. Mixes are so much easier for someone whose busy, or needs a quick/ last minute dessert. Plus it's less likely to go wrong and it tastes soooo good.

Not so recipe more guideline

Step 1: Get your crap together - you'll most likely need.
Milk
Butter
Your preferred cheesecake mix (check you have proper ingredients)
Electric/manual whisk
Mixing bowl
Cake tin
Measuring jug

Step 2. Read all your instructions from the cheesecake mix you bought as these may differ from pack. Heat your butter (I used a table spoon and a half, yes I like butter) on the hob at a low temperature. Smells so good.

Step 3. Add the crushed digestives you should have gotten in your mix to the butter. It should look like this.

Step 4. Line your tin with non stick baking paper, cling film, anything that the mix isn't going to stick to. Hopefully you will do a better job than I, once you are satisfied or you've thrown it across the room. Add the crushed digestives and butter that you mixed on the hob to the base of your tin and flatten out neatly.

Step 5. In your mixing bowl, add your cheesecake cheat mix to 300ml (or packet guideline) of milk. This is the fun, loud and scary part. That's if you're using an electric whisk, if you're using a manual it's the time consuming, slightly stress relieving until your hand gets tired part. Whisk your mix on low until thick and creamy, that's if you've managed not to get it all over the kitchen by the time you're done (TIP. it helps to tilt the bowl a little towards the whisk.)

It should look a little something like this when you're done whisking. If not you've most likely either done a hell of a better job or completely mucked it up. One of the two...

Step 6. Smooth the creamy cheesecake mix into your cake tin, that hopefully has better sides than mine because it will come out not round... Place it in your fridge for 45 minutes (if you can wait that long)

Step 7. After 45 minutes take it out of the fridge, obviously it wont have instant fruit on the top of it so neatly lift the baking paper out of the tray (don't forget to loosen the tray first if need be...I forgot :P) and slowly pull away the baking paper from your cheesecake, smooth the sides out with a knife/spoon if need be. Then add whatever topping you desire, I had left over strawberry's but you can use some other fruit, chocolate buttons, caramel sauce, etc. Then, don't tell anyone you've made cheesecake and eat the whole thing yourself! or you can share, that's cool too...
